By the time this DIvalicious column
sees print, it has been two days since the metro-wide community quarantine and
curfew is in effect and my prayer is that, we don’t get used to this kind of situation. Our God is more powerful than this veerus (the
manner in which the President pronounces the word) and let us all pray that an
antidote, cure or vaccine comes to fore and that it will be mass produced,
sold not only in a reasonable but an abot-kaya
presyo and things will be back sooner than soon.
Now that all are following the community quarantine directive, lahat tayo apektado kaya mas mabuting ingatan ang mga sarili para hindi na magkanda-letse-letse pa ang buhay nating lahat.

Sa ngayon, aliwin ko muna ang sarili
sa pagbabalik ng “On The Wings of Love” sa telebisyon, ang drama seryeng
nagpasikat in a major, major way sa tambalang James Reid at Nadine Lustre na.
I think why most people were hooked sa
JaDIne kasi hindi sila as saccharine nina Daniel Padilla at Kathryn Bernardo.
Mas lalong hindi sila orchestrated o manufactured like the phenomenal love team
that was, ang AlDub, na binubuo nina Alden Richards at Maine Mendoza. At mas
Sina James at Nadine kasi, parang they
were never faking it. Noong magkalove-team sila, talagang love team lang. When they
became lovers, hindi nagsinungaling. At nung maghiwalay na, nagpakatotoo rin,
agad-agad.
paliwanag ni Reid tungkol dito: “She
was my best friend before anything else.”
Iyong totoo at walang halong kiyeme latik,
pagiging mag-best friends?
Here, there and every where na
nasisilayan ang JaDine na casually hanging out, talking, having dinner with their
posse, going out of town and country, na parang no break-up ever happened?

Oblivious and drama nila, wa pakels sa mga
opinion ng iba kasi nga they have a solid friendship to begin with and that
kind of bond cannot be broken?
Again, again, yung totoong-totoo, walang
moment of awkwardness?
furious lamang sa how they were feeling and what do they mean to each other?
Iba talaga ang JaDine, how cosmopolitan
and sophisticated at super emotionally healthy and mature, huh. Ang dami-daming showbiz couples before na
naging mag-best friends muna bago naging mag-dyowa, yung iba nga ikinasal pa
nangyari, huh.
Panalo maging best friend itong James.
Hmmmm.
Well, kung noon eh pinasikat ni Gabriel
Garcia Marquez ang “Love In the Time of Cholera,” maaring itong sina James Reid
at Nadine Lustre, ang gusto namang ipauso eh “Love In the Time of Corona
