Sunshine Cruz: Dahil sa COVID-19 may binalikan

Since most of us are cooped up in our homes as it is forbidden to go out because of the existing lockdown (which has been extended until the end of April), we can try to be productive in our own little way. Since we have a lot of time in our hands, we can certainly find things to do while at home. Or we can start a hobby we have been putting off, or do something that we’ve always wanted but don’t have the time for it.

Sunshine Cruz has certainly found something she loves doing and that is cook for her children.

“Cooking is one thing I haven’t done so often since 2013. Kaya ngayon na mas marami akong oras, naipapagluto ko ng breakfast, lunch and dinner ang mga anak ko. And they always look forward sa susunod na araw dahil ipagluluto ko ulit sila. Namiss nila ang mga recipes ko,” said the sexy actress na mainstay ng afternoon drama na “Love Thy Woman” sa ABS-CBN.

Basically, mas maraming bonding time since Sunshine with her daughters kasama na ang kasama ang panonood ng movies, kwentuhan and exercising with them.

Lahat naman ng ating mga trabaho ay naapektuhan ng Covid-19. Nag-stop ang taping nina Sunshine for Love Thy Woman and she is looking forward na to resuming taping once tapos na ang lockdown. 




May pending TVC shoot din with one of her daughters which was also cancelled, pati na rin ang series of shows for a casino. All of these were rescheduled.

“Nakakapanghinayang din pero alam ko naman na andyan lang ang work. Babalik din sila. Sa ngayon ang mahalaga maging safe ang lahat at wala ng magkasakit at mamatay. Work can wait. Mas mahalaga ang safety at health sa ngayon kaya kailangan mag sacrifice muna,” said Sunshine.

Cooking is bonding time with her daughters

Kapag natapos na ang lockdown, plano ni Sunshine na dalhin ang mga anak sa beach kahit two days. Extra bonding bago siya bumalik sa trabaho and her girls sa school.

Kahit na may video naman, Sunshine is looking forward to seeing her mom and her sister in the flesh. “Iba pa rin yung personal ko silang makasama at mayakap,” said the beautiful single mom.

How has this lockdown affected you in a major way?

“This crisis made my faith stronger. Att grabe ang paghanga ko now sa ating mga frontliners who are sacrificing their lives to help us. Mas mahalaga ang buhay ng tao dahil kahit anong ganda o mahal ng material na bagay, walang value yun kung mawawala ang mga mahal mo sa buhay,” she shared.
