Frankie Pangilinan: Gandang may Paninindigan na Lumalaban

 Frankie Pangilinan, daughter of famous parents Megastar Sharon Cuneta and Senator Kiko Pangilinan, has blossomed into a tough young lady. Sa murang edad, aktibo na si Frankie sa social media pero in fairness, makabulahan ang mga puntong dini-discuss niya. 


Gandang may tapang at lumalaban
She’s been vocal about her views on political and social issues. What’s amazing is that she is only 19 years old! For a teenager to be socially and politically aware of what’s going on around her and to show concern for others in need speaks volume of her character and what she is destined to become in the future.

Recently, naging laman ng balita ang panganay nina Sharon at Sen. Kiko dahil sa kanyang reaksyon to a news report of a social media post from a police station in Lukban, Quezon that was victim-blaming women, na diumano’y dapat iwasan na raw ng mga babae ang pagsuot ng pagkaikli-ikling damit para hindi mabastos. 
  Kinontra ng dalaga ang pahayag na ito at sinabing hindi dapat palitan ang mga kasuotan ng mga kababaihan kundi ang kaisipan ng mga kalalakihan na huwag magbigay ng malisya at mag-isip ng masama sa mga babae. Dito nag-uugat aniya ang rape. sabi ni Frankie: "Stop teaching girls how to dress?? Teach people not to rape”.

Sinundan naman ito ng mga post ng beteranong radio broadcaster/ journalist na si Ben Tulfo na tinawag pa si Frankie na “hija” at “the wannabe smart alec” at sinabi pang “Sexy ladies, careful with the way you dress up! You are inviting the beast”.

Denepensahan naman ni Frankie ang kanyang stand against Mr. Tulfo’s post at sinabi na the way anyone dresses should not be deemed as an opportunity to sexually assault them.

This battle has gone a long way. 

Frankie on the other hand has gotten many supporters especially from women all over the world standing up and fighting for the right to be heard against rape, sexual assault and other similar cases. Rape is a heinous crime!(True!-Ed)

 It is not about what a woman wears or how she dresses up. It is about a man’s character, his morals. The way he thinks. If he puts malice and has the intent to rape a woman regardless kahit ano pa ang suot nito -- gagawin pa rin ng salarin.

Habang may malisya at maduming kaisipan ang isang tao, patuloy na magkakaroon ng krimen na rape. At ito ang punto na ipinaglalaban ni Frankie! 


Frankie is matapang at may paninindigan
Eto na, sa gitna ng kontrobersiya nina Frankie at Ben Tulfo, isang nagngangalang Sonny Alcos ang biglang bumulaga sa social media. Nag-comment ang may edad nang lalaki sa isa sa mga posts na kung 12 yrs old daw lamang siya, hahanapin daw niya si Frankie para I-rape. At hindi daw siya makukulong dahil sa batas na ginawa ng tatay ni Frankie na Juvenile Justice Law. Kakalokah to the highest level ang taong ito!

 Pero hindi ito pinalampas ni Sharon. Sa tindi ng galit ng Megastar, hina-hunting ni Sharon ngayon ang taong ito para papanagutin ang super libelous niyang threat kay Frankie. Sumabog sa galit si Sharon, at sa kanyang Instagram posts, napag-alamang London based pala ang taong ito.

Nakasampa na sa DOJ ang pormal na reklamo kay Sonny Alcos at ang latest ay na identify and at na trace na daw nila ang kinaroroonan nito.

Because of her strength of character, hindi maiiwasang maikumpara si Frankie sa ibang teenagers na tila walang ginawa kundi kumutkot ng gadget o magpasaway sa kanilang magulang.

She has become a brave and intelligent young lady who is not afraid to face the world because she knows how to play the game of life.

Hindi rin siya ‘yung takaw atensyon. Low key lamang ang dalagang ito, nagkataon lang na may mga punto siyang ipinaglalaban.Kaya boooom! (Mabuhay ka Frankie!-Ed).

 Simone Francesca Emmanuelle Pangilinan or for short Frankie Pangilinan or even shorter Kakie, upfront and straight to the point young lady who would go head to head to anyone if she believes that her stand is right. I think she started pointing out her opinions more in public when she just had her debut. It is perhaps the age where she could be more responsible with her ideas and give the right judgment to whatever cause she is fighting for. Remember her stand when her parents were involved in a comment made by the President regarding their marital status? So, like I said, she will exhale that thoughts who ever she’s talking to just to make her point. 

Frankie is very independent

Lately, she was again the highlight of every online news portal when she takes on with the influential broadcaster Ben Tulfo regarding “Rape Culture.” The exchanges of tweets made the people interested, siguro half ng mga tao is interested on the issue but the other half ay interesado sa kung ano ang naging batuhan ng mga tweet ng dalawang prominenteng tao. Dun mas naging interesting ang balita but for Kakie kahit sino pa man ang kapalitan nya ng salita she definitely will make a stand on what she believes. And it is her stand that’s thought by a lot of people. Imagine sa age na 19 who would have thought of someone who will air something about this rape culture issue na hindi naman nya naranasan. For someone who would go that far and make a point is someone who got the balls to do it, kahit wala naman siya nito. Ito ang isa sa kanyang mga tweet “STOP TEACHING GIRLS HOW TO DRESS?? TEACH PEOPLE NOT TO RAPE.” 

Frankie vs. Ben Tulfo
Saan nga ba nanggaling ang ganitong personality ni Kakie, ang uri ng attitude na palaban, the strong unwielded personality? Well, I'm not really sure if it is from her genetic family line, which both sides who have been in politics, or the influences from her environment where she grew up. So, kung saan man yan nanggaling, one thing is for sure she knows what she's doing. 

Frankie: Ibang-iba kay Sharon

Pwede naman natin tingnan ng much closer kung saan siya nagmana ng kanyang pagiging palaban. First with her mom, Sharon Cuneta. Well kahit sino namang nanay palaban talaga pero let us try to compare Sharon nung kasing edad pa nya si Kakie. If you’re a Sharonian you’ll definitely know kung sino si Sharon before. So I checked the world wide web kung ano ang mga ginawa ni Sharon at the age of 18 or 19. So one, she’s already a celebrity that time and take note with lots of fans. Two, she did marry Gabby Concepcion, her love team, and ginawa nila ng pasekreto. So basically, it is all about showbiz and her love life. Unlike Kakie who is by the way thinking more about the different issues of the country and liberating ideas, and for one is about the “Rape Culture.” Well siguro today is much different sa time ni Sharon.

As for Kakie’s Dad, Senator Francis "Kiko" Pangilinan, nagmana ba si Kakie sa kanya? Well, siguro because of what Kakie has been hearing and seeing from her dad. Pero to compare both of them on the same age, well Senator Kiko is an ace athlete, a medalist during his high school and college days. Looking at Wikipedia’s info about Senator Kiko, he won as Councilor of the UP University Student Council in 1985 under the party SAMASA, which is a student activist group. I think some of the activist that time went ‘desaparacido’.  
So, what do you think where does Kakie got that personality? But we all know she’s different from her parents, she’s palaban and truly stands on what is right.
